Working as a freelancer comes up with lots of benefits, for example sometimes I have more free time for personal stuff comparing to my last 9-to-5 job. Occasionally I work from different places when I’m not home and few days ago I was visiting a friend and spent some time together.
At one point I had to deliver some of my work to a customer. After connecting to my friend wi-fi router I had some trouble trying to make a VPN connection I’m using from time to time. After a short debugging-session I discovered what was the cause of this problem: a port forwarding (port 47). To be more specific I had to setup his router and add a new rule to forward all internet traffic that comes on port 47 to my localhost IP address.
That was all, so simple 🙂
